Keith Banhazl is a Managing Director within the Structured Finance Group and leads the US CMBS and CRE CDO/CLO Surveillance team that includes Conduit/Fusion,Large Loan/Single Borrower, Credit Tenant Lease, Small Balance Commercial, CRECDO, CRE CLO and other structured products at Moody’s Investors Service.In addition, Mr. Banhazl oversees the review of primary US CRE CDO/CLO transactions, including the credit assessment team for commercial real estate assets within CRE CDO’s and CLO’s as well as Structured Credit transactions. He is also Moody’s Global Structured Finance Outreach Coordinator. He has been involved in various research initiatives and outreach activities related to the CRE securitization space, publishing and speaking on Moody’s behalf.
Prior to being appointed to his current position, Mr. Banhazl was a team leader within the CMBS Surveillance group focusing on Conduit/Fusion and Large Loan/Single Borrower transactions. Previously at Moody’s, he rated various fixed and floating-rate Conduit/Fusion and Large Loan CMBS transactions. Mr. Banhazl has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University in Economics and History.
Victor Calanog, Ph.D. CRE® is the Head of Commercial Real Estate Economics at Moody’s Analytics. He and his team of economists and analysts are responsible for the firm’s commercial real estate market forecasting, valuation, and portfolio analytics services.
Dr. Calanog's research has received awards and fellowship support from several institutions, including the Ford Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation and the Penn Lauder Center for International Business Research.
Alice Carr is a Managing Director and Head of Community Development Banking at JPMorgan Chase, a national real estate business that lends to and invests in community and economic development projects in the United States. Her team provides construction and permanent financing for affordable housing developments across the nation, providing safe and stable rental units to low-income families and seniors. The team also facilitates investments in economic development projects, such as to build health care clinics, food grocers, charter schools and other community facilities. Additionally, Alice’s team brings capital and technical assistance to Community Development Financial Institutions and community organizations that are focused on racial equity and economic development in underserved areas throughout the country.
Alice has over two decades of finance experience. Prior to joining Chase in 2011, Alice served as a Managing Director and Western Regional Director for Citi Community Capital, the community lending division of Citigroup where she managed a group that originated construction, permanent, and gap financing for a wide variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use community development properties. Previous to her 12 years at Citigroup, Alice worked at the Low Income Investment Fund in San Francisco.
Alice participates on a number of boards including the Board of Directors for Enterprise Community Investments and Chair of the Board of Directors for both California Community Reinvestment Corporation and the Los Angeles Conservancy.
Alice earned a Bachelor of the Arts from Occidental College, graduating Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and receiving Honors and Distinction in double majors of American Studies and German Literature. Alice holds a Master of the Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Urban Planning with a concentration on housing finance and community development.
Blair is a Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s Investors Service where he has been a member of the CMBS new issue team since joining in 2013. He has rated various large loan and conduit CMBS transactions with a focus on SASB and deals backed by complex and transitional assets. In addition to rating transactions, Blair acts as a credit committee chair and gatekeeper for loan-level analysis across the new issue team. Prior to joining Moody’s he worked at Spring11 as an underwriter for B-piece investors and issuers of CMBS. Blair began his career at HSBC where he worked in a number of roles including as a Vice President in structured credit products.
Blair holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
Brendan McLaughlin is the Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Strategy, an office that cuts across traditional areas of responsibility within HPD’s organizational structure to support and strengthen the work of the agency’s various divisions holistically, in close collaboration with the Commissioner’s Office. Brendan will oversee the divisions of Strategic Operations and Analytics, Housing Policy, and Credit and Underwriting
Brendan joined HPD as a Senior Underwriter in 2015, and most recently has served as Executive Director of Credit & Special Underwriting in the Office of Development. Brendan serves as the Chair of HPD’s Credit Committee and represents the agency on the New York City Acquisition Loan Fund and Down Payment Assistance Credit Committees. Previously, Brendan served as a Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and prior to that was an Assistant Vice President of Investor Relations at Citigroup. He started his career as an Equity Research Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup. Brendan received his undergraduate degree in Finance from James Madison University and holds a M.Sc. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP). Brendan also currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at both Columbia GSAPP and the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University.
